Second teenager succumbs to injuries after Frisco sled mishap

A tragic incident occurred in Frisco over the weekend resulting in the death of a 16-year-old girl following a sledding accident. Reports from the police on Wednesday confirmed that the teenage girl sustained critical injuries after the sled she was on collided with a tree and a curb. Regrettably, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. This marks the second fatality resulting from the sledding mishap. The unfortunate event occurred on Sunday afternoon near Majestic Gardens Drive and Killian Court when two 16-year-old girls were sledding behind a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 16-year-old boy. Both teenagers were severely injured and were quickly transported to nearby hospitals for emergency medical care. Frisco Police are collaborating with the Denton County District Attorney's Office to assess any potential charges to be brought in connection to the incident.
