SCHP investigating fatal collision in Jasper County
JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is investigating a fatal collision that happened late Sunday evening. At approximately 10:00 p.m., a 2023 Toyota Sedan crossed the median on Highway 17 near Okeetee Fire Tower Road and struck a 2017 Chevrolet pickup truck. The driver of the Sedan died. The driver of the pickup and a passenger were taken to a local hospital. No other details of the accident were released, and the investigation is ongoing.
