Schalmont student Davin Yap dies after crash; family says organ donation will save lives
A student in the Schalmont Central School District has died after a car crash, according to an online fundraiser created to support his family. The GoFundMe says Gavin Yap, an elementary school student at Jefferson Elementary, was hurt in a car accident that happened Tuesday night and died this afternoon. The fundraiser also says he will be saving lives through organ donations. As of the latest update in the fundraiser, donations were nearing the $24,000 goal set to help with funeral costs.
