Route 1 down to one lane in each direction near Saco-Scarborough line after crash
The Saco Police Department says the area of Route 1 near the Scarborough town line has fully reopened after two different crashes caused various lane closures.Shortly before 3:55 p.m. Thursday, police said a crash in Saco near the Scarborough line caused traffic on Route 1 to be limited to one lane in each direction.A Facebook post shared by the Saco Police Department shows there was heavy traffic near Aquaboggan Waterpark.In an update shared at 6:40 p.m., police said the lanes on Route 1 in Saco had reopened, but a second crash across the town line caused the road to be fully closed in Scarborough.Shortly after 7:05 p.m., police announced that Route 1 had fully reopened in Saco and Scarborough.Check the WMTW traffic mapPolice have not shared any details about the crashes that caused the lane closures.
