Men involved in Wellford car accident wanted for questioning: Police
WELLFORD, S.C. (WSPA) - Two men are wanted for questioning after a child was struck by a van in Wellford Thursday, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said. According to the Wellford Police Department, the child was riding on a bike when they were hit by a white van at the intersection of Gibbs Road and Ridge Road around 5:30 p.m. The child's condition is unknown. Video shared with 7NEWS shows two men exiting the van and running from a cul-de-sac in the area. Police described the men involved in the incident as Hispanic, but did not share additional identifying details. Deputies said they are assisting South Carolina Highway Patrol in locating the suspects. Police ask that anyone who sees the men call 911 immediately. Details remain limited at this time.
