Rose Hill man killed in Cowley County crash
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A 21-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday in south-central Kansas. It happened about 6:30 p.m. on 82nd Road west of 131st Road, northeast of Winfield. Kale Kochick of Rose Hill was driving west in a pickup truck when it left the road and hit a creek embankment, according to the Cowley County Sheriff's Office. He was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene the sheriff's office said. Three passengers were in the pickup, and authorities said two of them were taken to a hospital. The extent if their injuries is not known. Investigators think alcohol played a role in the crash, according to the sheriff's office. The investigation is ongoing.
