Roodhouse woman dies after being injured in Springfield crash
A Greene County woman has died after a traffic crash in Springfield. The crash happened Thursday at South Seventh and East Laurel streets. Details about the accident have not been released. A woman was taken to HSHS St. John's Hospital, where she was pronounced dead around 2:51 p.m. Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon said the 69-year-old woman is from Roodhouse. Her identity was being withheld pending notification of family members. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday. The death remains under investigation by the coroner's office and Springfield Police Department.
