Road closed in East Providence due to serious crash
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A portion of Pawtucket Avenue in East Providence is closed Monday morning due to a serious crash. Police said the area of 3348 Pawtucket Avenue is not passable and will remain closed until utilities can be removed from the roadway. Northbound traffic is being diverted to Forbes Street, and Southbound traffic is being diverted to the Wampanoag Trail. It's unclear if anyone was hurt or what led up to the crash.
