Rapid City player died in Iowa bus crash

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- The name has been released for the Iowa Lakes Community College baseball player who died in a bus crash Wednesday morning. Carter (Tater) Johnson is from Rapid City and a freshman at Iowa Lakes, based in Estherville, Iowa. Post 22 Baseball wrote on social media, "We're heartbroken over the loss of Tater Johnson, yet we celebrate his vibrant spirit and the profound impact he has on so many lives. Let's stand together in support and prayer for his family and friends, holding onto the hope and resilience that defined his remarkable young life." The bus crashed near Twin Lakes, Iowa. The Iowa State Patrol said 33 people were in the bus and there were also multiple injuries.
