Pursuit involving Deputy Constable ends in rollover accident, arrest of wanted teen

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) - A vehicle pursuit involving a Brazos County Precinct 3 Deputy Constable ended in a rollover accident and the arrest of a wanted teenager. According to Constable J.P. Ingram, the accident occurred on eastbound Highway 21 in Bryan at approximately 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Anthony Lee Jurode, Jr., of College Station, who was apprehended by responding officers immediately following the single-vehicle accident. The incident began when a College Station Police Department (CSPD) officer attempted to stop Jurode’s vehicle. Jurode immediately fled from law enforcement. A Brazos County Deputy Constable later found the suspect vehicle on Live Oak Street in College Station and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Jurode then evaded the Brazos County Deputy Constable. The pursuit traveled from College Station into Bryan, and concluded when Jurode lost control of his vehicle on eastbound Highway 21 near Marino Road. The vehicle rolled multiple times before coming to a rest. In addition to his outstanding warrants, Jurode now faces new charges of Evading Arrest in a vehicle stemming from this pursuit. Constable Ingram says that following Jurode's apprehension at the accident scene, he was found to have sustained only superficial injuries. He was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for medical evaluation and clearance. Upon receiving medical clearance, he was transported to the Brazos County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) jail intake and booked by a Brazos County Precinct 3 Deputy without further incident. His bond has been set at $100,425.
