Portion of major Lexington road closed due to neighborhood crash: What we know
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Lexington authorities announced on Thursday morning that a portion of Versailles Road was closed due to a serious crash that reportedly involved a motorcycle. Around 7:20 a.m. on July 23, KYTC officials issued an alert that all lanes of Versailles Road between Delmont Drive and Oxford Circle were closed "until further notice" following a crash in the area. The Lexington Traffic Management Center announced that the crash happened on Woodford Drive and reportedly involved a motorcycle. Around 8 a.m. on Thursday, FOX 56 crew members at the scene saw a vehicle from the Fayette County Coroner's Office at the scene of the crash. By 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, all lanes in the area of the crash had reopened. FOX 56 is working to learn more about the crash and the conditions of those involved. This is a developing story.
