MPD: Motorcyclist killed in crash, driver arrested
MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on the city's north side. The collision happened around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday near North Teutonia Avenue and West Finn Place. According to investigators, a 27-year-old driver was making a left turn from Teutonia Avenue when the SUV crossed into the path of an oncoming motorcycle. The 32-year-old motorcyclist lost control and collided with the SUV. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. Police say the SUV driver was taken into custody and could face charges pending a review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office. Investigators do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
