Police seek Tesla driver as witness in deadly North Las Vegas crash
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- North Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help as they continue investigating a deadly crash that shut down a major roadway earlier this week. According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, the collision happened around 4:17 p.m. on Thursday along Simmons Street, just north of Carey Avenue. The crash, which involved a semi-truck, initially forced road closures in the area as officers responded and began investigating. The North Las Vegas Police Department is working to identify a potential witness who may have crucial information. Police say they are looking to speak with the driver of a gray Tesla who was believed to be in the area at the time of the crash. Investigators believe the driver may have seen what led up to the collision or what happened immediately after. Authorities emphasized the driver is not in trouble and is only being sought as a possible witness. Anyone with information — or the driver of the gray Tesla — is urged to contact North Las Vegas police at 702-633-9111.
