Police respond to fatal crash in Leander overnight
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Leander Police had to close part of a roadway for a couple of hours overnight while responding to a fatal crash. The police department posted a traffic alert on social media just before midnight, saying RM 2243 was closed in both directions between County Road 175 and Limestone Creek due to a fatal crash. The roadway was later opened shortly before 3 a.m., police said in an update. Police did not say how many people died in the crash or share any additional information.
