Police investigating fatal crash on US-10
BAY COUNTY, Mich. — Police are investigating a fatal crash that left a 34-year-old man dead. Michigan State Police say the crash occurred on June 3 around 10:25 a.m. on westbound US-10 near 7 Mile Rd in Monitor Twp. Preliminary police investigations indicate that a man driving a 2013 Ford Focus did not slow for the stopped traffic and ran into the rear end of an F-450 box truck. The box truck then struck an F-150 pickup. The driver of the Focus, a 34-year-old Saint Charles man, sustained catastrophic injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other drivers sustained minor injuries. The highway remained closed for about two hours as the investigation was conducted.
