Police investigating fatal crash involving motorcycle

Officers with the Greensboro Police Department said a motorcyclist is dead following an afternoon crash on West Friendly Avenue. Police identified the deceased as 21-year-old Paul Chambers III. According to officers, the crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of West Friendly Avenue and King George Drive. Chambers succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Hyundai survived and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Details on their condition are not known. Investigators have determined that the speed of the motorcycle played a role in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
