Police in Delray Beach investigate deadly train accident involving pedestrian
The Delray Beach Police Department is currently looking into an incident involving a collision. A southbound freight train of the Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) struck a pedestrian near SE 4th Street on Sunday at 9 a.m. Sadly, the pedestrian passed away due to the impact. In response to the situation, the police department has closed all roadways between SE 4th Street and NE 10th Street, including Atlantic Avenue, for investigation. This closure is anticipated to last until at least 12:30 p.m. The department advises motorists to steer clear of the area, seek alternative routes, and factor in extra travel time.
