Police identify 87-year-old killed in SE Indiana crash Friday
Police are sharing more information about a deadly crash in northern Dearborn County, Indiana, last Friday.The crash happened around 8 a.m. Friday on St. Peters Road at State Road 46, near Sunman.Indiana State Police said the driver of a Dodge Caravan entered State Road 46 in front of a truck, slamming into the vehicle. George Dever, an 87-year-old man from Sunman who was driving the Caravan, died at the scene of the crash.Police also said a 66-year-old in the car that Dever hit was seriously hurt and taken to a nearby hospital by a medical helicopter.Indiana State Police said the investigation is ongoing. They were assisted at the scene by the ISP-Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, Dearborn County Sheriff's Department, Sunman Fire Department and EMS, St. Leon Fire Department, Bright EMS, Dearborn County Coroner's Office and the Indiana Department of Transportation.
