Police chase in Southern California leads to 2 accidents injuring several people
A police pursuit of suspected thieves in Orange County led to two accidents on Friday, resulting in several injuries. The incidents happened around 2:40 p.m. at Lemon Street and Orangethorpe Avenue, and Euclid Street and Malvern Avenue, according to a statement from the Fullerton Police Department. Both collisions involved multiple cars, with the first causing minor to moderate injuries to several individuals. After the accidents, four people ran away, but it appears from aerial footage that two individuals may have been apprehended. The crashes may be linked to a recent jewelry store robbery, as evidence from a jewelry store was found at the scene. The suspected store involved is Classic Jewelers in Anaheim, where a dark SUV was observed near the area it had crashed into. Traffic in these areas is expected to be affected for a considerable period of time. If anyone has information, they are urged to contact emergency services.
