Police attribute fatal Maple Heights crash to speed.
A tragic incident occurred in Maple Heights, Ohio, late Saturday night when a vehicle struck a tree, resulting in the death of one person and the hospitalization of another. Maple Heights police responded to the scene on Rockside Road near Lee Road South around 11:30 p.m. Two individuals inside the vehicle had to be rescued by the Maple Heights Fire Department. One victim was airlifted to the hospital, while the other sadly passed away at the scene. The identities of the victims have not yet been released. The authorities suspect that speed may have played a role in the crash and are conducting an investigation.
