Police are investigating a road rage incident in Parkville that shut down Perring Parkway on Friday.According to Baltimore County police, the drivers involved in the incident were on the inner loop of Interstate 695 when they exited onto Perring Parkway shortly before 6:30 a.m. Friday. The drivers were at the intersection of Putty Hill Avenue and Perring Parkway when the suspect vehicle fired a gun, officials allege.Officers arrived at the scene and found a 28-year-old man with non-life threatening injuries. The victim was taken to a hospital.Baltimore County police arrested the suspect, according to a news release.Police said it was an isolated incident, and there is not an ongoing threat to the public."Couldn't even get on Putty Hill from the highway, so I knew something was going on," said Ruben Chance, a nearby resident.Chance was taking his wife to work when he ran into the traffic, which he said was worse than usual. He said there were five or six police cars and trucks."I'm not surprised because it was not that bad, but lately it's just a lot of shootings and drugs," said Ingrid Matute, another nearby resident. "So, I'm not surprised anymore."When it comes to roads in the area, residents want to see speed cameras or other deterrents to slow people down."Traffic gets very heavy in the morning, even heavier in the evening. Everyone leaving Towson, using Putty Hill," said Bill Duncan, who lives nearby."It would be really nice if people take their time to drive, especially in this area, because houses are very close to the road," Matute said.Residents also want to see people calm their tempers when behind the wheel in order to keep everyone safe."It's not that serious," Duncan said. "Even when you have a car accident, it's called an accident for a reason.""Just to stay calm, be cool, have a level head and just go about your business," Chance said.
