Police: 19-year-old killed in hit-skip crash in Clermont County; suspect being searched for
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that they are investigating a fatal hit-skip crash that occurred in Clermont County on Sunday.According to police, the crash happened on Bethel-New Richmond Road in Ohio Township at approximately 4 a.m. when an unidentified vehicle struck a pedestrian located near the roadway.The crash reportedly occurred on a segment of the road that was located just to the east of its intersection with US Route 52.The victim, later identified as 19-year-old Jayden Nelson of New Richmond, was pronounced dead at the scene.Police say that they are continuing to search for the person that struck Nelson.Those with information are urged to call OSHP's Batavia Post at (513) 732-1510.OSHP say that they were assisted at the crash scene on Sunday morning by the New Richmond Police Department, the New Richmond Fire Department, and the Clermont County Coroner's Office.This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
