PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — One person was critically injured after a crash Thursday morning in Prince George County. At around 12:18 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, Prince George County Fire and EMS crews responded to a car crash in the 4100 block of Ruffin Road that left one person trapped and another with minor injuries. The incident involved an SUV and a fully loaded logging truck, and authorities worked to remove the driver of the SUV from entrapment. They were taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the logging truck, who had minor injuries, was evaluated on scene and did not require transport. The crash also resulted in a minor oil spill, which crews worked to clean up. Police said a portion of Ruffin Road was closed while authorities processed the scene. Drivers traveling through the area should seek alternative routes for the next few hours. Further information, including the identities of both drivers, was not immediately available.
