Person killed in overnight crash on Interstate 44
KIRKWOOD, Mo. - Police are investigating after a person was killed in a overnight crash on Interstate 44 in Kirkwood. The crash occurred on westbound I-44 near Berry Road. It involved an SUV and a tractor-trailer truck. The crash killed a person inside of the SUV, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. It is unclear if the driver of the tractor-trailer sustained any injuries in the crash. Details on the crash are unclear. The highway was closed for an extended period of time as crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
