Perry County man arrested after fatal ATV crash kills teen
PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — A man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a deadly ATV crash that killed a teenager in Perry County in February. According to Perry County Sheriff Joe Engle, deputies took Noah Back, 26, of Vicco, into custody Saturday afternoon at his home. He was booked into the Kentucky River Regional Jail. The arrest stems from a Feb. 28 crash on Oakwood Avenue in Vicco that claimed the life of 16-year-old Emilynn Clark. Investigators said four people were riding in the ATV owned by Back at the time of the crash, including two teenage girls and two adult men. Authorities said one of the teens was driving when she lost control, sending the vehicle over a hill and down an embankment. Clark died at the scene. One of the adult passengers was airlifted to a trauma center with serious injuries. Sheriff Engle said alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, and the teenage driver was charged with driving under the influence. As part of the investigation, authorities also obtained a search warrant for Back’s cellphone. The case remains under investigation.
