Pedestrians identified in triple fatal crash on June 22 in Knoxville
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — On Monday, the Knoxville Police Department released the names of the two pedestrians killed in a crash on June 22. The pedestrians were identified as Stephen Williams, 51, and Anthony Grant, 60. KPD's crash reconstruction personnel are still investigating the incident. The driver, who also died, had been previously identified as Reeta Hellmund, 60. The crash happened the morning of June 22 near the First Creek Greenway on North Broadway. According to KPD's preliminary investigation, Hellmund was driving north on North Broadway when her vehicle struck a light pole then two pedestrians before veering off the bank and rolling down an embankment.
