Pedestrian, vehicle collision on Loop 375 kills 19-year-old
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — At approximately 1:06 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Loop 375 near Mile Marker 20. Deputies located the crash and found there were serious injuries as a result, and requested help from the Sheriff's Office Special Traffic Investigators (STI). Preliminary investigation findings revealed that a silver Honda was traveling eastbound on Loop 375 when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road. The pedestrian was identified as 19-year-old Andres Montanez. Montanez was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the situation.
