The authorities responded to a call at approximately 9 p.m. on West Gate City Boulevard near Paschal Street. According to the police, a pedestrian in the roadway was struck by a black Jeep Commander heading west on West Gate City Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and the pedestrian was transported to the hospital in critical condition. No charges have been pressed as of now.
