Pedestrian hit by vehicle in deadly crash
A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Savannah. It happened Friday night at Eisenhower Drive and Waters Avenue. Savannah police officers responded to the scene around 7:10 p.m and found the victim. He was treated at the scene and taken to Memorial Health Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. The Savannah Police Department says an initial investigation showed the man was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a car. The driver stayed on the scene.The Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020.
