Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle on Route 12 in Keene, police say
A section of Route 12 in Keene was shut down Thursday night after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle. Just after 8:30 p.m., police responded to a crash involving a car and a pedestrian. According to police, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries during the collision. >> Download the free WMUR app to get updates on the go <<The highway was closed for about four hours between Maple Avenue and Wyman Road while police investigated. The Keene Fire Department, New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted the Keene Police Department. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Lt. Joel Chidester at 603-357-9820.
