Passenger ejected from vehicle in fatal Brevard County accident
The passenger of an SUV was tragically ejected from the vehicle during a late Saturday crash in Brevard County being investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 1 south of Valkaria Road when a 2014 Hyundai Tucson traveling north veered off course, resulting in a series of collisions - including the vehicle striking a median, losing a tire, entering southbound lanes, hitting a grass median and a pole, and overturning on the edge of the pavement. The 27-year-old passenger from Palm Bay suffered fatal injuries, while the 26-year-old driver, also from Palm Bay, sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized following the accident.
