Passenger dies, others injured in Erie County crash: OSHP
MILAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly three-vehicle crash that happened in Erie County on Wednesday morning. The crash happened at 11:15 a.m. at the corner of Huron Avery Road and Scheid Road in Milan Township. According to investigators, A Honda CR-V was heading east on Scheid Road when it was hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee heading south on Huron Avery Road. After the collision, the Honda was then hit by a Lincoln MKZ heading north on Huron Avery Road, investigators said. The front passenger in the Honda, identified as 74-year-old Luz Guillen of Chicago, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Honda driver, a 31-year-old Burbank, Illinois resident, was taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The Lincoln driver, a 38-year-old Sandusky man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The Jeep driver, an 18-year-old Norwalk man, refused medical treatment. No charges have been filed in the deadly crash, which remains under investigation at this time.
