Over 20 car accidents reported in Oconto County due to icy roads after freezing rain
The Oconto County Sheriff's Office has reported a high number of accidents on Tuesday due to dangerous road conditions caused by ice and freezing rain. Around noon, dispatchers received numerous calls about vehicles skidding, crashing, or ending up in ditches. By 5 p.m., there had been 24 accident reports involving around 40 vehicles in various incidents. One of the crashes involved multiple vehicles, causing traffic congestion at Highways 41 and 141. Fortunately, there have been no reports of any serious injuries at this time. Additional personnel were dispatched to assist in managing the situation.
