Oregon woman killed in 3-car crash due to icy conditions; 3 others injured
A tragic three-car collision on Hwy 97 in Klamath County resulted in the loss of a Coos Bay woman's life, as reported by Oregon State Police. The incident, which took place before 10 a.m. near milepost 181, was caused by icy road conditions that led the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado to lose control and crash into a Toyota Tacoma and a Dodge Ram. Kristara Lopez, 47, who was driving the Toyota, tragically passed away at the scene, while a passenger in her vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries. The two individuals in the Dodge sustained minor injuries and were also taken to the hospital.
