One person killed, three injured in Dinwiddie I-85 accident.
A fatal single-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, killing one person and leaving three others injured. The crash happened around 6:15 a.m. on a Sunday morning near the Route 460 exit. According to Virginia State Police, a white SUV veered off I-85 North, struck several trees, and caught fire. Sadly, a passenger in the SUV was unable to escape and died at the scene. The driver and another passenger sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to a hospital. Additionally, a bystander who attempted to help the trapped passenger suffered minor burns and drove himself to a nearby hospital. The incident is currently under investigation.
