One person killed in deadly Churubusco accident
A tragic accident occurred in Churubusco late on Saturday night, resulting in the loss of one driver's life and leaving another injured. The collision, deemed a head-on crash by authorities, involved vehicles driven by Randall Hoffman and Amanda Lindzy, both residents of Churubusco. Hoffman's vehicle veered into the opposite lane while traveling north on Main Street, leading to the fatal impact at the intersection of Main and Liberty Streets. Emergency responders reached the scene at 10:02 p.m., where Hoffman was pronounced deceased, while Lindzy was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries. The road conditions were reported to be icy and snowy at the time of the accident, but an exact cause has yet to be determined as the investigation continues.
