One person injured following shooting and car accident: St. Petersburg police
The St. Petersburg Police Department is currently investigating a car accident where a person was discovered shot inside the vehicle. The incident took place in the area of 17th Avenue South and 49th Street South, as reported by the SPPD. Responding officers found a crashed vehicle with a 19-year-old man who had sustained a gunshot wound inside. Another occupant, the victim's 18-year-old brother, was also found in the car. Both individuals were taken to the hospital, with the 19-year-old in critical condition and the 18-year-old in stable condition, according to the SPPD. The department has stated that a suspect has been detained for questioning in connection with this case, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
