One dead, two injured in Eagle Mountain crash
EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah (ABC4) — One person is dead after a car crash on Eagle Mountain Boulevard this afternoon, and two others were transported to the hospital. According to a press release from the Utah County Sheriff's Office (UCSO), the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday near 6384 North on Eagle Mountain Boulevard. The crash involved a passenger car and an SUV. Following the collision, the passenger car caught fire, and a UCSO deputy was able to get the driver out and provide aid. Unfortunately, the driver was fatally injured and passed away at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the SUV were injured and transported to local hospitals. UCSO has detectives and its Traffic Accident Investigation team at the scene. The identity of the victim is not available, as authorities are working to notify the next of kin. The sheriff's office says the incident is still an active scene under investigation.
