One dead, three injured in Hollister golf cart crash
HOLLISTER, Mo. — A golf cart crash left one person dead and three others injured in Hollister on Sunday, July 5. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), three adults and a juvenile from Lisbon, Iowa, were travelling in a 2026 Club Car Onward north on Tall Timbers Way near Tall Timbers Camp. At around 6:45 p.m., the cart travelled off the right side of the roadway after trying to turn at a curve in the road. The cart then went airborne and hit a rock wall, ejecting everyone inside. The 38-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, MSHP says. A 39-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man in the cart were airlifted to Cox South Hospital with serious and moderate injuries, respectively, while a 12-year-old boy suffered minor injuries. This is the 66th fatality in MSHP Troop D in 2026.
