One dead, one injured after head-on crash in Clinton
CLINTON, Tenn. (WATE) — A man is dead and another person is injured after a crash on N. Charles Seviers Boulevard happened Friday morning in Clinton. According to the Clinton Police Department, officers responded to the crash that happened around 6:52 a.m. on N. Charles Seviers Boulevard near Bland Road. Based on their preliminary investigation, officers believe a red Suzuki Vitara, which was driven by Landon Brooks, 21, was traveling west on N. Charles Seviers Boulevard when it crossed the median and struck a gray Chevy Silverado pickup on the eastbound side of the road. Clinton Police said Brooks died before officers arrived at the scene. The driver of the Chevy was injured and is receiving medical treatment. "We ask that the community keeps those involved and their families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time," Clinton Police wrote in a statement The police department's Fatal Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is leading the investigation.
