One dead in Interstate 70 Eastbound crash near Interstate 71 split
One person is dead after a crash involving a red sedan into the wall on Interstate 71 Eastbound at the 102 mile marker at 4:11 p.m., according to the Columbus Police Department. When police arrived, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Right now it looks like a semi headed eastbound lost its tire and the tire skipped across the interstate causing crashes (including the deadly one), according to CPD. Interstate 71 Eastbound to Interstate 71 Northbound is now shut down. They are shutting down Interstate 70 at State Route 315 as well. Traffic is being diverted onto 670. We'll update this story with more information when it becomes available.
