One dead after fatal motorcycle accident in Collins
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- One man was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident in the Town of Collins Saturday, the Erie County Sheriff's Office said. Around 5 p.m. Saturday, dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a great deal of motorcycle debris in the roadway on the 4000 block of Gowanda Zoar Road. Upon arriving at the scene, witnesses directed the officer to an area off the shoulder of the roadway where both the operator and the motorcycle were found. The operator, a 23-year-old Collins man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff's Office said his identity will not be released at this time. The investigation is ongoing, with the Sherrif's Office asking anyone with information to call 716-858-2903, or report it through the ErieCoSheriff smartphone app.
