One dead after car bursts into flames during crash in Fresno County
One person is dead after a major crash on Wednesday morning in Fresno County. CHP says officers got the first call around 8 AM for reports of a two-vehicle crash at Manning and Yuba Avenues. 911 callers reported that one car had caught fire with somebody trapped inside. Initial investigations shows that a John Deere farm tractor was travelling west on Manning Avenue at slow speeds along the right shoulder. An Audi was also travelling west behind the tractor. For unknown reason, the driver of the Audi was not able to avoid the tractor and crashed into the back left axel. The crash caused the Audi to roll over several times burst into flames while the driver was still trapped inside and unresponsive. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the John Deere tractor was sent to the hospital with moderate to major injuries. At this time, alcohol and or drugs is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
