Oklahoma woman killed in crash caused by tire blow out
An Oklahoma woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in Ellis County. Around 3:40 p.m. on June 9, emergency crews were called to an accident along Hwy 15 at NS 186 in Ellis County. Investigators say 70-year-old Leona Nunez was driving westbound on Hwy 15. Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the vehicle was operating on a spare front right tire when it blew out. That caused the vehicle to leave the roadway to the right and travel through a ditch. The vehicle came to rest after hitting a tree. Sadly, Nunez died as a result of her injuries.
