According to a police report, the man surrendered on March 28 and is the driver of a light-colored SUV. The report notes that his car had damage consistent with an auto-pedestrian collision.The man claimed the collision was not his fault, stating the victim stepped into the roadway as he was driving down Southwest 59th Street. He explained to police that he "panicked because he has two children and he became tunnel visioned and fled the scene." He said he felt a lot of guilt since the incident and wanted to make things right.He also admitted to police that he does not have a driver's license.
