Officials: Truck hits overpass bridge in Solon
SOLON, Ohio (WJW) - Crews were on the scene in Solon after an accident shut down a portion of U.S. 422 on Monday afternoon. Officials took to social media after 4:30 p.m., telling drivers to stay away from U.S. 422 eastbound approaching the exit at Harper Road, as well as Harper Road at U.S. 422 in both directions. According to officials, as seen in the photo above, a truck heading northbound clipped the overpass bridge, causing the vehicle to tip over under the overpass. Only one vehicle was involved in the crash and the driver appeared to have minor injuries, Solon officials said. As of 6:30 p.m., the Ohio Department of Transportation is reporting that the roadway is cleared in that area.
