Norfolk police investigating fatal motorcycle crash on Terminal Boulevard
NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Norfolk Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle incident at the intersection of Terminal Boulevard and Ruthven Road late Saturday night. According to officials, officers were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 11:05 p.m. involving a motorcycle Saturday night. Upon arrival, officers pronounced the driver of the motorcycle, a 24-year-old man, deceased. The driver of the second vehicle, a four-door-sedan, was reportedly uninjured. A preliminary investigation by officers has revealed that the motorcyclist's speed was a factor in the crash. Both eastbound travel lands on Terminal Boulevard are currently closed. Officials are asking motorists to avoid that section of roadway while authorities investigate the crash.
