New details emerge on violent crash on 26 Mile Road

After the recent snowfall, more snow is in the forecast for the upcoming weekend and next week, with the hope that it won't result in accidents like the one on 26 Mile Road that left five people hospitalized last Thursday. Ethan Dunlap, whose wife and children were involved in the crash, shared his perspective and photos from the scene with FOX 2 on Friday night. According to Chesterfield Township police, a collision occurred between two vehicles on eastbound 26 Mile Road near I-94 on Wednesday. One vehicle was occupied by a 59-year-old woman and a passenger, while the other had a 25-year-old driver and two children. All individuals involved were taken to the hospital. Ethan Dunlap clarified that it was his 41-year-old sister and 16-year-old niece who were injured, not a 59-year-old as initially reported. He recounted how the accident occurred and expressed sympathy for the other family involved. Despite his wife sustaining injuries, their children are doing well, and everyone has been discharged from the hospital. Ethan Dunlap emphasized the importance of driving cautiously and urged all drivers to reduce their speed on the roads.
