Names released in Mellette County fatal crash
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A Mission woman died, and three others sustained serious injuries on Sunday in a single-vehicle crash near White River. A 2009 Chevrolet Colorado was traveling east on Ring Thunder Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle rolled, coming to rest in the north ditch. All four occupants were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle. Francis Quick Bear, 18, Revvin Quick Bear, 18, and a 17-year-old woman sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries. 18-year-old Lialabella Kathleen Whirlwind Soldier-Hunger was pronounced dead at the scene. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and the identity of the driver.
