(WNCN) — The driver of a vehicle that traveled the wrong way and crashed into another car on the All American Freeway in Fayetteville last month is now facing multiple charges in the deadly incident. On Feb. 23, Fayetteville police said a 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 driven by 32-year-old Joelle Danielle Sage Outlaw was going the wrong way — mostly with the headlamps off — on the northbound side of the All American Freeway. The Mercedes-Benz then hit a 2020 Volvo XC90, which was traveling the correct direction, head on. Outlaw's passenger, 31-year-old Nealon Alan McNair, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Outlaw was seriously injured and taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, as were the two women in the Volvo. On Tuesday, the Fayetteville Police Department said Outlaw faced a judge in Cumberland County on 13 charges, include eight felonies. Outlaw is being charged with: According to warrants, the driver of the Volvo was pregnant and lost her baby as a result of the crash. Court records show Outlaw has not been given bond and is due back for a hearing on April 16.
